A Bideford-based family sports business provided the cricket wear for England, Australia, Pakistan and Rest of the World players taking part in the Titans of Cricket tournament held at The O2 Arena.
MJM Sports initially won an order from bat manufacturers Mongoose Cricket this autumn to produce their own label shirts and trousers for their professional cricketers to wear at a trade stand at Lords.
These players included Somerset and England’s Marcus Trescothick, and up and coming New Zealander Lou Vincent.
Then followed a call from Mongoose for coloured kits for the Titans of Cricket competition featuring the four international teams of five.
MJM Sports turned the order around in less than half the normal time to give the organisers time to get the kit decorated.
The event in October was covered by Sky Sports was won by Pakistan, captained by Shahid Afirdi
Terry Schofield of MJM said: “I had to pinch myself when I saw Flintoff, Afridi and Gilchrist wearing our kit. Twenty of the world cricket legends under one roof in international colours. It was a great honour to produce such an outstanding kit in the short time frame. We look forward to working alongside Mongoose again in the near future.”
England stars Steve Harmison, Marcus Trescothick, Joe Root and Paul Collingwood in their MJM kits at the Titans tournament.
